In place of our July meeting, we will travel to Elk Rapids to visit the gardens on their 2026 Garden Walk: "Blue to Green and All the Colors in Between!" - a celebration of the stewardship and preservation of our beautiful blue water. Tickets may be purchased online or at the Blue Star Garden (on the walk day). The Blue Star Garden is located at the Chamber of Commerce Building, 305 S US-31, Elk Rapids, MI.

Our August Membership gathering will be a field trip to Bear Creek Organic Farm in Petoskey - where we will meet farmer Brian Bates, who with his wife Anne, founded Petoskey's first 100 percent USDA Certified Organic farm. They now operate a year-round organic market and a seasonal food truck on their farm. They seek to educate the community on the benefits of local, organic, and pollinator-friendly agriculture.
