Welcome to the Charlevoix Area Garden Club

The Mission of the club shall be to beautify the home and community, to cultivate a love and knowledge of trees, plants and flowers; and to foster friendship among its members.

Upcoming Events 

Spring Gardening Event - At Ferry Beach
Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. until Noon

This year we are changing the format of what previously was our annual spring plant sale. We will be selling bulbs for spring planting (Dahlias, Gladiolus, Canna Lily, and more), as well as annual geraniums for your garden or containers. We will have a limited number of garden plants and seedlings from our member's gardens, and our selection of garden tools and supplies.

Our Club members will be on hand to answer your gardening questions.

The proceeds from sales are used to enhance the eight civic gardens that we maintain in Charlevoix.

Civic Garden Open House
Tuesday, June 6, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

To celebrate National Garden Week the Charlevoix Area Garden Club is hosting an "Open House" at the eight Civic Gardens in Charlevoix that we maintain.


Club members will be on hand to show off our work, answer gardening questions, and socialize with our Charlevoix neighbors and visitors.

Please stop by and see us at: Depot Heritage Garden, Harsha House Garden, Library Garden, Meditation Garden at Charlevoix Hospital, Memorial Garden, Pere Charlevoix Garden, Post Office Garden, and the Triangle Garden.

Garden Walk 2023 "Hidden Garden Gems"
Wednesday, July 12th 2023 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Our biennial Garden Walk allows the public to view and appreciate private gardens throughout the Charlevoix area. The theme for the 2023 Garden Walk is "Hidden Garden Gems".

Details, including how to purchase tickets, will be released this spring.

Annual Fall Bulb Sale
October 2023
Downtown Charlevoix East Park

We will be selling a variety of bulbs and garden tools are during Charlevoix Apple Fest. Look for our tent with the pink swoops near the clock tower in Downtown Charlevoix's East Park. 

Proceeds from the sale help support our maintenance of eight civic gardens, as well as several other community projects.


Ways & Means

Garden items are available at garden club events.  Popular items include: Wilcox All Pro stainless steel trowels, Radius tools ( the ergonomic line ), Joyce Chen scissors, gloves for all garden tasks from $10-$25!  We are constantly searching for the very best items for all gardeners.
